An NCAA All-American at Loras, Tom Kult ('96) is in his 15th season on the staff working with the Duhawks throwers. The Loras record holder in the shot put (54-8 3/4), Kult was an All-American in the event at the 1996 Indoor NCAA III Championships. Kult qualified for the NCAA III Championships five times in his career. During his time at Loras, he has coached 45 Iowa Conference champions, 97 National Qualifiers, 24 All-Americans, and two National Champions. The Loras Throws team has been ranked in the top 10 in the nation for the past 5 seasons. Kult also received his master's degree from Loras and teaches in the Physical Education and Sports Studies Department.
