Delaney's time at Loras resulted in four years of hitting .326 or better, four winning seasons, the first back-to-back 20-game winning seasons in school history, three selections to the NAIA All-District 15 team and four straight trips to the NAIA District 15 championships.

As a sophomore, Delaney batted .340 and the Loras team finished 13-9 with Delaney winning the first of three straight NAIA All-District 15 honors. His junior year was one for the record books-a career high average of .384, with 11 doubles, 6 home runs and 28 RBIs. The Duhawks finished 22-9 with Delaney earning Co-MVP NAIA District 15 honors.

Active with intramurals, Delaney was part of men's basketball champions ASIA team in 1979-80, a Dean's List student and a member of the ETZ fraternity. |
