
Carl Tebon began his time at the helm of the Loras College Duhawks in 1996 and has won 331 games as the skipper of the Duhawks, an average of over 20 games per year. In his sixteen years as Loras' head coach, Tebon has had the Duhawks in the top four in the standings seven times, including leading the Duhawks to the Iowa Conference championship in 2009, the first Duhawks team since 1952.
He has coached two All-Americans, 12 All-Region picks, and 49 All-Iowa Conference players, including league MVPs Justin Pierro (1998), Cory Schultz (2002), and Nick Olberding (2009). Pierro went on to a three-year minor league career with the Cook County Cheetahs and the Dubois County Dragons of the Frontier League. Schultz was a free agent signing by the Philadelphia Phillies and was a part of their minor league system for three seasons, throwing a total of 123 innings.
The Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin native is a 1989 graduate of Mount Scenario College where he was a two-time all-conference pick and MVP in baseball, while also starring on the football field. He earned his master's degree in Education/Sports Management from Old Dominion University in 1992.
Prior to coming to the Duhawks, Tebon served as the head coach at UW-River Falls, compiling a 56-38 record. He was also an assistant baseball coach at Virginia Wesleyan from 1989-1992.
Tebon and his wife, Brenda, reside in Dubuque and have three daughters, Erica, Elly, and Rachel.

Dan Wellik is in his fifth season as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the Duhawks. His work in recruiting and development of the pitching staff helped the program achieve its first conference championship in 57 years in the 2009 season.
In four years he has helped Loras pitchers become All-Conference or All-Region. Under Coach Wellik's watch pitchers have set Loras single season and career marks in wins and saves.
During the summer months Wellik serves as the pitching coach for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball league. The "Cape League" is widley considered the best collegiate summer league in the United States with over 200 former players. 22 of his former players are currently playing baseball in the minor leagues.
Wellik began his playing career at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa. Wellik moved on to finish out his career at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa. He spent the 2006 season in the dugout on the Warriors coaching staff and was also the head coach at Clear Lake High School.
Wellik and his wife, Tracee, reside in Dubuque with their daughter Clare (1).

Kory is entering his ninth season as a part time assistant coach since graduating from Loras in 2003. The Darlington, Wisconsin native was a physical education major and also minored in health. Kory's full time position is with Prescott Elementary School in Dubuque where he teaches physical education.
Kory's coaching career includes time with the Wahlert High School squad, where he has been the assistant to the varsity team and also contributed to the basketball program. He was also the head coach for the Darlington (WI) Redbirds in 2003 and 2004.
Kory's four-year playing career included two seasons as a starting infielder with the Duhawks. He was a captain of the team in his senior season and was also an Academic All-IIAC selection.
Tuescher resides in Dubuque.

Jake Waddle is now in his second season as a coach with the Duhawks after a very successful career at Luther College and one season playing for the Wisconsin Woodchucks in the Northwoods League. Waddle will work primarily with the catchers this season. The Coon Rapids, Iowa native was a business major at Luther and is working towards his Master of Business Administration.
Waddle's playing career at Luther includes three all-conference selections, two of which were first-team. In 2008 he was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Central Region second-team catcher. He also led the Iowa Conference in batting average in 2007 and 2008. He finished his career at Luther ranked in the top five in hits, RBIs, doubles, triples, homeruns, runs scored, and walks.
After graduating from Luther, Waddle played one season in the Northwoods League for the Wisconsin Woodchucks where he accumulated a .324 batting average.
Nick Kirk joins the Loras Baseball staff in 2012 as the Duhawks' outfield coach. He playing experience includes time in the Cleveland Indians minor league system and at University of Northern Iowa.
As a three-year weekend starter for the Panthers, he struck out 148 hitters in 163 innings. Taken by the Indians in the 19thround of the 2009 draft Kirk pitched at three different levels while in the minors.
Kirk is a graduate of Wahlert Catholic High School and currently resides in Dubuque.
