Bob Schultz returned to Loras in 2005 to serve as the head men's and women's cross country and track and field coach. Schultz was previously an assistant at Loras from 1991-1994, and earned his master's degree in physical education/athletic administration from the college in 1994.
Coach Schultz recently completed his eighth season as the Duhawks' cross country coach. The men's team won the IIAC Championship in 2012 for which Schultz was named the Iowa Conference Coach of the Year. The Duhawks went on to qualify for the National Championship where they finished 25th in the country. In 2013, the men's and women's teams each won the Dr. Tucker Invitational. Both were also in the top three at the Iowa Conference Championships. The men's team also won the Luther All American Invitational and were never lower than sixth in the team standings in any event last season.
In track & field, the Loras men and women recently finished fourth at the 2013 Iowa Conference Indoor Championships. Loras regularly sends student-athletes to the national championships as well.
Schultz has received a wide array of accomplishments during his time at Loras, including the IIAC and NCAA Central Region Coach of the Year for 2007 in men's indoor track and field. He led the men to the IIAC indoor championship in 2007 and the IIAC outdoor championship in 2005, including two top ten NCAA Indoor & Outdoor finishes at the Men's Championships. Schultz also led the women to a 5th place finish in 2007 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Loras Track & Field has had a combined 59 All Americans in men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field at Loras, including three NCAA Division III Champions under Schultz.
Loras is Schultz's third different head coaching stop. He comes to Dubuque from Lewis University in the suburbs of Chicago. Schultz spent three years coaching at Lewis, where he held the same position he holds at Loras. Combined between both teams, Schultz guided the Flyers to four Great Lakes Valley Conference titles in track and field and two in cross country.
Schultz has also previously served as the Head Coach at Elmhurst College, an NCAA Division III school in his hometown of Elmhurst, Illinois. He headed the cross country programs for eight years (1994-2001) and the track and field programs for six seasons.
Schultz graduated from Lewis University in 1991 after a successful career as an athlete. He ran in high school for nationally known York High School in Elmhurst, Ill. He, and his wife, Jennifer, are the proud parents of two sons, Joey and Justin. They reside in Dubuque.

Mary Bridget Corken is in her third season with the Duhawks coaching staff. Corken is one of the most decorated runners in Loras College history. Among her individual accomplishments are All-Iowa Conference, All-Region, and All-American honors. She also made numerous All-Academic teams while in a Loras uniform.
She was the 2008 Iowa Conference champion at the league's cross country meet and also won the 2009 3K Indoor Track & Field IIAC title . She reached the All-American stand in both cross country and track and field during her Duhawk career.
Today, the Wahlert Catholic High School graduate is employed by the City of Dubuque's Volunteer Services Coordinator and remains a Dubuque resident.

Jesse Ernst is in his second season with the Duhawks, graduating cum laude from Loras College in 2010 with degrees in Elementary Education and Spanish. Ernst was a 4-year Varsity letter winner in the High Jump and during his career was a member of the IIAC All- Academic team. This is Ernst's first year as the High Jump coach for the Duhawks. Prior to returning to Loras, Ernst has coached track and field and volleyball at the high school level. Ernst is currently a high school Spanish teacher and is also pursuing his Master of Science in Educational Administration degree from Purdue University- Calumet.

Paul Wagner is in his second year at Loras College with the track and field staff. Wagner was previously the Head Men's & Women's Track & Field Coach at Coe College for 18 years. His teams won eight conference championships in his time with the Kohawks. He has also coached 68 All-Americans, 4 National Championship finishes, and 6 runner-up finishes. Wagner was a 7-time Conference Champion pole vaulter (4 indoor and 3 outdoor) and a 2-time NCAA National Qualifier as a student-athlete with the Kohawks, where he was also a football player, earning All-Midwest Conference and team MVP honors.
