
Ashley (Rogers) Winter competed her fourth season with the Duhawks and third as head coach in 2012.
A graduate of Wahlert High School and Wartburg College, where she completed a degree in Business Administration (Marketing), Ashley was a two sport athlete at Wartburg, competing in both softball and volleyball. During her softball playing career with the Knights, she was a first team All-Iowa Conference selection in 2008 and a second team pick twice as a first baseman. During her final season, Ashley hit .400 and was in the top five in the IIAC in batting average, slugging percentage, on base percentage, runs and homeruns. Also a four-year member of the Knights volleyball team, Ashley was a first team All-Iowa Conference selection each season from her middle hitter position. During her final season Winter was the league MVP and first team All-American.
In addition to coaching softball, Ashley also serves as the assistant volleyball coach at Loras. In July 2009, Ashley was named the Iowa Conference’s nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award. In 2011 she was inducted into the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Softball Hall of Fame. She was also named to the Wahlert Catholic High Scholl Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.
In each of Ashley’s three seasons as head coach, the Duhawks have qualified for the Iowa Conference Tournament. In 2012 the Loras softball program achieved 20 wins, the most wins since 2005. Ashley resides in Dubuque, Iowa with her husband Bud.

Rachael Rogers was named Assistant Coach of the Loras College softball team in the winter of 2009 and wrapped up her third season with the Duhawks in 2012. The Dubuque native joins her sister, head coach Ashley (Rogers) Winter, to assist with all aspects of player and program development.
Rogers earned her bachelor of arts in social science education from the University of Northern Iowa and was a four-year member of the UNI softball team from 2002-06 where she played shortstop for the Panthers. Rachael was recently named to the inaugural class of the Wahlert High School Athletics Hall of Fame. A four sport athlete with the Golden Eagles (basketball, volleyball, softball, and golf) she earned All-State honors in basketball, volleyball, and softball.
Since her debut on the UNI softball team, Rachael has been coaching players at many different levels of the game. During her college career, Rogers assisted at UNI softball camps for parents, coaches and players. From 2005-2008, she was the assistant varsity softball coach at Wahlert High School; in 2006, assistant volleyball coach at Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona; Dec. 2006-May 2007, assistant softball coach at Wartburg College; and since the summer of 2008, working with the softball and volleyball teams from Western Dubuque High School, where she currently teaches in the social sciences department. She currently resides in Dubuque, Iowa.
