As the 2012-13 academic year comes to a close, the Loras College football team has once again named two of their four captains for the upcoming season. The team votes prior to their summer departure for their leaders in the upcoming season. During August's preseason training camp, the team will select the other two.

Representing the offense following spring practice and heading into the summer is offensive lineman Dan Murray. The defense looks to Will Tumberger.

Both are entering their senior seasons. Murray is from Park Ridge, Illinois. Tumberger is a native of Mount Prospect, Illinois.

"Both young men are excited about leading our teams into the 2013 season and they have my full support," head coach Paul Mierkiewicz said this week.

"I think the team has selected two quality individuals to help take our team to the next level."

The Duhawks will begin camp on August 14 as they prepare to make improvements on their 2-8, 1-6 season in 2012. The first game of 2013 is Thursday night, September 5 at Elmhurst College. The game will kickoff at 7:00 PM. The full 2013 schedule is available HERE
