Loras 7th/8

The Loras College men's golf team concluded their soggy 2013 season over the weekend with a seventh place finish at the Iowa Conference Championship.

Loras' individual scores over the weekend included two rounds in the 70s from defending medalist Sam Herrmann. He shot a 78 in Round 3 and followed with his low round of the tournament, a 73, in the final round. When you add in his second round 77, the senior finished in 12th place with a four-round total of 313.

Two other Duhawks competed in all four rounds. Jon Nugent was t-24th. He broke 80 twice (2nd, 4th rounds) to finish with a 326, posting his lowest round of 78 in the final round. James Komorowski was 34th. He had two rounds in the 80s and two in the 90s for his 353. Jimmy Gallery posted three rounds in the 80s for a total of 255. His second round effort was left out  of the final tab.

Logan Bahl added a 77 and 89 in the final two rounds to help Loras' team score – a 1312. Loras was 24 shots behind sixth and seven shots ahead of eighth.

Herrmann is the lone senior on this year's roster.
