The Loras College Women's Lacrosse team hosted the Trine University Thunder Sunday in the Rock Bowl. The Duhawks struggled gaining possession of the ball and getting in position to score on the offensive end.  Loras had 25 turnovers on the day and just 11 shots on goal. Karli Jonasen scored Loras' only goal on the day.  Goalkeeper, Sam Schmidt recorded 8 saves for the Duhawks.

Four seniors were honored on Sunday for their contributions to the Lacrosse program. Molly Devine, Sarah Keely, Morgan Washburn and Katie Yockey were all recognized for their roles in the program's first official season. For all of the seniors it was their first ever season playing lacrosse.  The Athletic Department is grateful for their hard work and dedication to help start the program in the right direction.

The Duhawks will be back in action in the Rock Bowl Thursday night. As they welcome the University of Dubuque Spartans. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.  When the two teams met earlier in the season, the Duhawks came out victorious, winning 10-7. The win was the first in the program's history. Head Coach Emily Goetz and her team will hope to recreate that success again this week.
