Loras goes 3-1 at Knox, finishes 2nd
The Loras College wrestling team went 3-1 and finished in second place at the Knox College Chuck Porter Duals on Saturday.

Pat Pfantz went 4-0 on the day, Jeremy Klein went 3-0, and Mitch Gansen 2-0 to lead the Duhawks past Wabash, nationally ranked University of Chicago, and host Knox by a combined team score of 90-37. Loras fell in what turned out to be the championship dual to Trine, 28-15. Pfantz and Brendan Murphy won by fall, and Klein won a 7-3 decision in the loss to Trine. In addition to the three undefeated Duhawks, Chris Gansen and Josh Kirkland each went 3-1.

Loras pinned eight opponents during the four duals.

The Duhawks will wrestle their second Iowa Conference dual of the year on Friday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa against the #3 Coe College Kohawks. The dual starts at 7:00 PM.

The competition against the University of Dubuque has been moved to January 28. Loras will tangle with Simpson at 5:00 pm that night and follow with the Spartans at approximately 7:00 PM.
