Loras Assistant Football Coach Steve Helminiak will have the opportunity to join an exclusive group of speakers this Saturday at Fenwick High School. Helminiak, who serves as the top assistant to Head Coach Paul Mierkiewicz is joined by Pat Fitzgerald of Northwestern University, Chuck Martin of Notre Dame, Brian Cabral of Indiana State, and Jeff Hecklinski of Michigan.
Each of the coaches will have the stage to discuss different aspects of the game. Helminiak will be present on the play of the Offensive Line. The event, which is being hosted by the Chicago Catholic League Coaches' Association, is targeted at local high school coaches and provides them with an opportunity to learn from and discuss with some of the top college coaches in the country.
Helminiak and the rest of the Loras Football Coaching Staff is hard at work this offseason in preparation for the 2013 season. As one of the main recruiters for Mierkiewicz, Helminiak has been working hard to bring in a strong class this coming fall.
