After locking up their entry in the upcoming Iowa Conference Tournament, the Duhawks jogged over to the University of Dubuque campus for their final regular season matchup against their crosstown rivals as seeding was determined on the final Saturday of league play. The Duhawks started off the season in great fashion, ending 2012 with a 10-1 record. Since then, the team has gone 7-7. Heading into the Iowa Conference Tournament, Loras will be the #4 seed, sporting a 7-7 conference record.

Having defeated the Spartans earlier in the season, 62-56, Loras was hoping to end their season on a positive note with a victory on the road. With the Duhawks only shooting 24% from the field in the first half, they leaned heavily on their free throw shooting, and went 11-for-14. The first half ended with the teams deadlocked on the scoreboard 23-23.

Then things slowed down for the Duhawks in the second half. Dubuque made a few runs and opened up a lead on the Duhawks. Loras was able to pull within four points with just over four minutes remaining, but there wasn't enough left in the tank for the victory.

Katie Langmeier turned in yet another great performance for the Duhawks. Her 21 points and three rebounds kept Loras in the game for most of the day, especially her clutch shooting from the charity stripe.

While the Duhawks secured their position in the 2013 Iowa Conference Tournament, they certainly will want to wipe away the month of February to this point, as they have gone 1-4 over the course of the month.

Loras will host Coe (13-12, 6-8) on Tuesday night in the Athletics & Wellness Center with a tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Duhawks split their season series with Coe, winning at home in January 59-56, and losing in Cedar Rapids 57-42.
