RESULTS

 

The Loras College men's track and field team scored 90 points on Saturday in Platteville, Wisconsin to take third place in the standings. Loras took home two individual titles on the day.  

  

Keontae Neely won another Long Jump title in his first season with the Duhawks. He won by 6.5 inches – leaping a 21-9 on Saturday. Kyle Ward also leapt more than 21 feet to take third place.

 

The other win for the Duhawks came from the 4x200 Meter Relay team. Loras' 4x400 Meter Relay also added a second place finish.

 

The distance events also yielded points. Steve Loran was second in the 5K and Adam Varnas was third in the 3K.

 

Josh Goerdt added a third place finish in the 400 Meter Run.

 

Next weekend, the Duhawks are in suburban Chicago for the event at North Central. That is the site of the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in early March. They'll be in Dubuque for the Iowa Conference Championships on February 22-23 at the University of Dubuque.
