The Loras College women's basketball team is now 6-6 in the Iowa Conference after their home loss to the #8 Simpson College Storm on Saturday. The visitors remained unbeaten in league play with the win.

Loras was again close at 52-48 after Melissa Herrmann sparked a run. The Storm pulled away in the end, eventually opening a double digit lead and holding off any late threats the Duhawks made.

The Duhawks honored their six seniors – Niki Rivera, Brittney Cato, Melissa Herrmann, Rachel Kerchefske, Brit Kent, and Kelly Rogowski – and their families during a pregame ceremony. The group played in their final regular season home game on Saturday and now take to the road with their teammates to close the season at Central and at University of Dubuque in one week.
