The Loras College women's basketball team fell to 16-6 and 6-5 in the Iowa Conference after a 57-42 loss to Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They remain in a tie for second place but the field is still wide open with only Simpson College clinching an IIAC conference tournament berth.

The Duhawks and Kohawks were locked in a defensive battle throughout the entire first half. It remained a close game throughout the first 20 minutes. The Kohawks put a run on late in the first half to go up eight heading into the break. The Duhawks struggled offensively, shooting just 24% from the field and 54% from the free throw in the first half.  The Lady Duhawks also committed 12 turnovers in the first half.

The second half belonged to the Kohawks. Their defense forced Loras into tough, contested shots each time down the floor and forced them into uncharacteristic turnovers that led to easy buckets. Coe finished with 25 points off turnovers. The Duhawks finished the game shooting 28% from the field (16-56). Loras was led by Katie Langmeier's nine points and 10 rebounds while Kelly Rogowski added six and three other Duhawks added five.

The Duhawks are back in action on Saturday against Simpson College (21-1, 11-0) at 2 pm in the AWC. It is Senior Day and Loras College will be honoring six seniors. It is also the "Think Pink Game" and fans are encouraged to support the Duhawks by wearing pink to the AWC.
