A tale of two halves might be the best way to describe the Iowa Conference matchup between the Loras College Duhawks and the Luther College Norse. The Duhawks jumped out to an early lead in the first half shooting 43.5% from the field. The Norse would not be held quiet for long, storming back with a strong second half.

Katie Langmeier was once again at it with her aggressive play, leading to yet another double-double. Her 11 points and 11 rebounds kept things close in the second half, including some big offensive rebounds. Niki Rivera added 11 points of her own, but it would not be enough.

"We had a hard time guarding their bigs, and they take a lot of shots for them," Heinzen said.

For the second time this season, the Norse walk away with a victory. For the Duhawks, who are heading into what could be the last two weeks of their season, hope to learn from this game and make some quick adjustments before Saturday's tilt with Buena Vista.

These two squads could face off if they make the conference tournament, and the pressure will be on the Duhawks to change the tide. In order for that to happen, Coach Heinzen knows that there are some things that need to change.

"In two words…play harder. We've got to defend better and finish our shots."

Duhawks will host the Buena Vista Beavers on Saturday in the AWC. The Beavers come in with a 1-8 record in the Iowa Conference, but Loras knows they can't afford to take any team lightly from here on out if they want a shot at extending their season.
