More solid performances for Davis, Duhawks
Tue, Jan. 22, 2013 - [Women's Indoor Track & Field]

The Loras College women's track and field team was back at it for the second straight weekend in Monmouth, Illinois on Saturday. The Duhawks won two individual events and had four runner-up performances as well.

Abby Davis continued her early career and early season success in the sprints – winning the 60 Meter Dash in 7.93 seconds as the only runner to break the eight second mark. That time was good for third best in program history. She added a second place spot in the 200 Meter Dash. She was also the lead leg on Loras' 4x200 relay that took second.

Loras' 4x400 team was third. That team was comprised of Briauna Richardson, Laura Wondra, Brittnee Powers, and Alaina Rigdon.

The other individual win of the day came from Rachel Kolbeck in the Pole Vault. She went up to Loras' fourth best height in program history, 10-6.25.

Other top performances came from Eryn Johnson (High Jump, 2nd place, 5-0.50), Emily Ruhser (60 Meter Hurdles, 2nd place, 9.57), and Bridget Hall (5,000, 3rd place, 20:01).

The Duhawks continue their indoor season on Saturday at Cornell.
