Loras, 120

Beloit, 80

The Loras College women's swimming teams won their final home dual of the season on Friday night, taking down the Beloit Buccaneers, 120-80, on Senior Night.

Jillyn Gerken won both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events to go with the opening win in the 200 Medley Relay to lead the Duhawks. She posted a 27.04 in the 50 and followed with a 59.40 in the 100. She joined senior Stephanie Czarobski, Lexie Mollahan, and Katie Callaghan on the Medley Relay team that defeated Beloit's squad by nine seconds.

Other multiple event winners included Clare Ehlbeck. She took home the 200 IM title in 2:27.80 and the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 1:14.31, touching a split second before Mollahan. Both times ended up being exhibitioned.

The event marked the end of the home careers of two Duhawks, only one of which was able to participate. Stephanie Czarobski and Gabby Gaulke have two events remaining in their careers, including the season ending Liberal Arts Championships in mid-February. Czarobski was a part of the winning 200 Medley Relay team tonight, but Gaulke is currently in France as part of her January Term class.

Loras will be in Sioux City, Iowa on January 25 to take on swimmers from Iowa Central, Morningside, and College of St. Mary.
