Duhawks fought their way back to .500 with two wins this weekend. Luke Barry led the way for Loras on Sunday as they took on the Rockford College Regents. Rockford entered Sunday's non-conference match up on a four game winning streak, but that would be halted thanks to solid shooting from the field and lockdown defense by the Duhawks.

In a game that would see 49 person fouls, both teams struggled to create a consistent offensive flow. Aaron Schueller would foul out with 12 minutes remaining in the second half, forcing Greg Gorton to dip into his young bench to finish out the contest.

Alex Cline had his highlight reel play of the day in the first half, following a steal and a slam dunk. Cline would finish the day with 12 points, five offensive rebounds, and three assists. Connor Mooney would chip in 11 points and six assists. 19 of Loras' 29 baskets were accompanied by assists in the game.

With Ryan Coon in foul trouble, Jake Rutan found himself playing in a starter role in the second half. He would contribute nine points, six boards, and three assists.

Loras will travel to Augustana College on Thursday to take on the Vikings. The Duhawks only have three non-conference games remaining in their season before they kick off Iowa Conference play on January 5th at Luther.
