Loras, 72
Elmhurst, 57

The Duhawks earned their sixth win as they defeated Elmhurst College in a commanding victory 72-57.  The Duhawks also remain undefeated at home (4-0) with help from Katie Wheeler.  Wheeler poured in 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.

The team continued their success on the boards tonight as they out-rebounded the Bluejays 40-28.  When Loras collects more than 32 rebounds in a game this season, they are 6-0.  Leading the Duhawks in rebounding was a trio that consisted of Katie Langmeier, Brit Kent, and Melissa Herrmann which all grabbed 6 rebounds.

Another factor that propelled the Duhawks to victory was the stingy defense that blocked seven shots to the Bluejays zero block shots.  Melissa Herrmann imposed her will in the paint tonight as she led the Duhawks with three blocked shots.

Loras improves to 6-1 on the season and will travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin as they take on Carthage on December 8th.  Tip-off is set for 2:00pm and the Duhawks will be looking to steal a game on the road.
