Duhawks fall at #8 Illinois Wesleyan
Tue, Nov. 20, 2012 - [Men's Basketball]

Illinois Wesleyan, 75

Loras, 63

The Loras College men's basketball team fell into a hole early against Illinois Wesleyan as the home team started the game on a 12-0 run which claimed to be the difference in the game.  Loras played the host evenly after halting the early spurt by the home team.

The Duhawks remained in contention with play from sophomore Luke Barry who led Loras in scoring with 14 points while going perfect from the field.  Barry went 4-4 on the night including one three-pointer and went 5-5 from the free throw stripe.  Also contributing for the Duhawks were fellow sophomores Nathaniel Smith and Bobby Harmening who each netted 11 a piece to keep the Duhawks in the game.

Loras was not able to withstand the superb Illinois Wesleyan outside shooting as the home team went 10-18 (55.6%) from long range.

The Duhawks are back in action when they take on another CCIW opponent, Wheaton College, tomorrow at 7:30PM.  Fans can watch the game live here:
