#19 Loras, 4

Calvin, 2

The Loras College women's soccer team is into the Sweet 16 for the third time in program history (2010, 2003) after posting four goals in the Rock Bowl on Saturday night. The host Duhawks defeated Calving 4-2 with a pair of goals in each half.

The game was off to a high-scoring and fast-paced start when after 18 minutes the Duhawks led 2-1.

Katie Truesdale opened the scoring just after the 11 minute mark to continue her goal-scoring ways. She scored Loras' goal in the 2-0 win (own goal was the other) on Friday night against St. Scholastica. Calvin answered with a long distance Kelly Koets strike just under five minutes later. Shortly after that, Loras' Ailish Rispin drew a foul inches from the 18 yard box. Senior Hillary Wilson stepped up and hammered home the game's third goal to make it 2-1.

That's where it would stay for the remainder of the first half. The teams each took seven first half shots.

Just 90 seconds into the second half, Truesdale struck again to extend the Duhawks' lead. This time it was an authoritative drive past Ashton Hearn. Just shy of the hour mark, Jackie Tumberger make it 4-1 and put Loras in the driver's seat for a bid to the Sweet 16.

The Calvin Knights fought till the end and Paige Capel added her second goal in as many nights in the Rock Bowl in the 81st minute.

But goalkeeper Hannah Wilson and the rest of the Duhawk defense would keep the score there and put Loras into next weekend's Sweet 16 round. They will play the winner of Centre and either Emory or DePauw, who are battling tonight.

Calvin's season closes at 16-5-1. Loras improved to 19-4 with the win.
