Riding high after the emotional win on Sunday against 2nd ranked Trinity, the Loras College Duhawks set off for Cedar Rapids for their fourth Iowa Conference tilt of the year.

Not wasting any time at all, freshman Ailish Rispin put the Duhawks on the board in the 8th minute with assists from freshman Katie Truesdale and sophomore Kristina Everding. Truesdale and Everding worked the ball down the sideline before sending it to Rispin for the goal.

Freshman Hayley Wegrzyn would add a tally of her own in the 43rd minute with an assist from senior Hillary Wilson.

Loras put 12 shots on frame in the first half, forcing Kaylee Weems to make 10 saves. She would go on to record four more saves in the second half of play.

The Duhawks would continue their offensive outpouring, scoring in the 49th minute on a shot from Truesdale who was assisted by junior Lynn DeVriese.

Freshman Shannon Stewart increased the lead to four when she scored in the 76th minute, and freshman Kathryn Hermanas would wrap up the scoring with her goal in the 90th minute.

Loras moves to 11-4 overall and 4-0 in Iowa Conference play. They return home to take on the 16th ranked Wartburg Knights in what might prove to be the difference maker for the conference championship.
