The Loras College women's tennis team is into the win column after a 8-1 victory over Bethany Lutheran on Saturday. 

Elizabeth Dickhut won 6-0/6-0 at #1 singles and combined with Est Mungai at number one doubles to win 8-3 over Bethany Lutheran. Mungai added a win of her own at #2 singles, 6-3/6-4. Joining the top two Duhawks in the win column were Rachel Weglarz and #3 singles, Caroline Rainey at #5 singles, and Rebecca Weglarz at #6 singles.

Loras swept the doubles matches to help themselves to the win column.

Sarah Alt and Rachel Weglarz were the duo at #2 to win 8-2, and Loras most convincing win in doubles came from the #3 pair of Caroline Rainey and Rebecca Weglarz, 8-1.

The Duhawks fell in the other half of Saturday's road doubleheader to host Buena Vista, 7-2.

Dickhut was responsible for two of the wins, taking down #1 singles 6-1, 6-1. She again combined with Mungai for an 8-2 win at #1 doubles. The Loras #1 doubles has won three straight matches now.

Dickhut improved her individual winning streak to seven at #1 singles. She is 9-2 overall.

Loras has two more IIAC matches schedule. They'll be in Cedar Rapids to take on Coe at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Then on October 3, they'll host Wartburg. The Iowa Conference individual tournament is October 5-6 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
