The Loras College women's golf team continued their 2012-13 season in Pella, Iowa over the weekend with a third place finish at the Central College Fall Invitational.

Abby Potts led the way for Loras with a pair of rounds in the 80's. She had the lowest round of any Duhawk on Friday with an 82. She followed with an 88 on Saturday and finished in sixth place overall.

Host Central College's Taylor Hill ran away with the individual title (75/75-153), but Potts was just two strokes from the runner-up score of 168.

Christina Jackson and Mara Simonson each finished in the top 15 as well.

Jackson was 13th with a 183 (89/94) and Simonson was just one shot behind her with a 184 (90/94).

Loras' 728 was good for third place, well behind Grinnell and Central ahead of them and six shots better than IIAC foe Simpson.

The Duhawks will return to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for another competition hosted by Mount Mercy on September 22. The fall season will close with the IIAC Championship beginning on September 28 at Pheasant Ridge and ending the following weekend back in Pella.
