The Loras College football team invites all members of the military to the 2012 season opener at the Rock Bowl on September 1, 2012 for Military Appreciation Day. The Duhawks will admit all members of the military who show their ID at the gate free admission for the 2012 season opener against Elmhurst College. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM between the Duhawks and Blue Jays in the Rock Bowl.
This is the second consecutive season Loras has sponsored a Military Appreciation Day during a home football game.
Week 2 will include another home game against Rockford College. At halftime of that game, the 2012 Hall of Fame class will be announced to the crowd. Later this season, the Duhawks will host a ‘Take A Kid To The Game' Day in conjunction with the NCAA on October 20. The annual "Key City Clash" is November 3rd in the Rock Bowl when the defending IIAC champion Dubuque Spartans come to the Rock Bowl. That is also Senior Day for the class of 2012-13.
Throughout the 2012 season, the Athletics and Wellness Center parking lot will be available for three hours prior to kickoff for tailgating. The full policy for guests is available HERE.
