The Loras College Department of Athletics is happy to announce a new policy to be implemented prior home football games this fall.
Tailgating will be allowed in the Athletics and Wellness Center parking lot three hours prior to kickoff. The space will be available only until kickoff. Guests may bring propane grills and alcohol consumption is permitted by those of legal drinking age.

"We're looking to bring together our fan base in a fun and family-friendly environment," Director of Athletics Bob Quinn said on Wednesday. "We want all of our fans to socialize together and to do so in a respectful way. We fully expect a safe, clean, and exciting setting with our Duhawk supporters leading up to kickoff. It is a chance for alums, families, and current students to get together and share in the game day atmosphere in one place."
Loras plays five home games in 2012, including the first two games of the season on September 1 and September 8. The other home dates are September 29 (Homecoming), October 20, and November 3.
September 1 – vs. Elmhurst
September 8 – vs. Rockford College - Hall of Fame Game, Duhawk Den at AWC Lot
September 29 – vs. Luther College – Homecoming
*All tailgate spots are reserved through Alumni/Advancement office at 563-588-7170
October 20 – vs. Buena Vista University – Take A Kid To The Game
November 3 – vs. Univ. of Dubuque – Key City Clash and Senior Day
The area will be monitored by local law enforcement. Participants who behave inappropriately will be asked to leave.
