The 2012 All-Iowa Conference baseball teams were announced in mid-May and the list included a trio of Duhawks who helped Loras to 22 wins – half of which came in league play.

Making the 2012 All-IIAC second team this season were center fielder Devin ‘Billy' Kass and starting pitcher Will Petrosky. Jeremy Gerardy was noted as an Honorable Mention selection. The selections are based on performances in IIAC games only.

Kass, a junior from Solon, Iowa was fourth in the IIAC in slugging percentage (.513), third in RBI (20), and second in homeruns (5). In all games in 2012, he led the league in homeruns, was third in RBI, and finished fifth in slugging.

Petrosky, a freshman from Hanover Park, Illinois was also among the leading starters in IIAC games. He struck out 32 batters in 28.2 innings of work during league play and finished 3-1 in his six IIAC starts. His ERA was sixth best in the IIAC (2.51) and opponents hit just .211 against the big southpaw. He went 4-2 overall and finished his first season in a Loras uniform with a 2.81 ERA.

Jeremy Gerardy was tied for third in the IIAC in total appearances. The Dubuque, Iowa native made 10 trips to the mound out of the bullpen, totaling 22 innings, and went 1-0.  A sophomore, he led the IIAC with four saves in league games and trailed teammate Spencer Radabaugh by one in all 2012 contests, 6-5.

This was the first selection to the All-IIAC team for each Duhawk.

Loras went 22-18 in 2012 and finished one game out of the sixth and final spot of this season's IIAC tournament at 11-13.
