The Loras College women's track and field team posted four event wins and set one school record on Friday and Saturday at the Augustana Olympics in Rock Island, Illinois last weekend.

Loras totaled 155 team points and behind the four first place finishes.

Highlighting that list was a school record performance and NCAA Division III top-five effort in the High Jump by sophomore Katie Langmeier. Langmeier went 5'-6" on her fifth jump and won the event over teammate Caitlin Groeper, who finished second with a 5'-2.25" jump.

Mary Rector added a win in the 5,000 Meter Run. She finished in 18:44.70. That effort was a full 18 seconds better than the runner up.

The third win for the Duhawks came from Kelsey Kruse in the Steeplechase. Kruse ran Loras' second best time in the event ever, an 11:44.46. She was more than 30 seconds faster than the runner-up.

Meggen Elsen took the Hammer Throw title with a 147'-9" toss on her fourth effort of the day. Her title was a full five feet further than the second place effort.

In addition to Groeper in the High Jump, second place Loras finishes came from:

Emily Rusher in the 100 Meter Hurdles (16.13)

Bridget McQuillan in the Pole Vault (10'-2.5")

Next up for the Duhawks is their Midweek meet inside the Rock Bowl on Manatt Track and at Faber-Clark Field. The event will start on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 PM.
