Goerdt wins 400, Duhawks fifth at Augustana

The Loras College men's track and field team was fifth at the Augustana Olympics last weekend thanks to solid performances by multiple Duhawks – who scored 116 team points.


Leading the way for Loras was Josh Goerdt, who won the 400 Meter Dash in 48.89. He was also a member of the third place 4x400 Meter Relay team and the fourth place 4x100 Meter Relay team. Goerdt's 400 Meter time ranks #7 all time at Loras and was a top five time in the NCAA Division III at this point in the season.


Second place finishes for the Duhawks came from Ryan Seymour in the 100 Meter Dash (11.08), Mike Roth in the Long Jump (21'-4.25"), Jerry Olp in the 5,000 Meter Run (15:01.92), and Sean Campbell in the Javelin Throw (166'-8").


Campbell added a third place finish in the Hammer Throw, sending his last toss 175'-2".


Loras is inside the Rock Bowl on Manatt Track and on Faber-Clark Field for their 2012 Midweek Meet this Wednesday beginning at 4 PM.
