The Loras College men's track and field team was down the street at the University of Dubuque on Saturday for their last competition before the 2012 Iowa Conference Indoor Championships. Loras finished fourth in the team standings and placed multiple individuals in the top five of their respective events.

On the track, Ryan Seymour and Josh Goerdt finished 4-5 in the 200 Meter Dash – just 0.06 seconds apart. Each of the top five finishers reached the finish line under the 23-second mark, including Seymour's 22.93 and Goerdt's 22.99.

Tim Derr ran a 7.95 55 Meter Hurdles time to claim fourth place in that event.

Chris Higgins was the third fastest entrant in the mile. The sophomore needed just 4:30.75 to complete the race.

A pair of Loras freshmen made up half of the four-man 5,000 Meter field and accounted for 13 of the team points by finishing in second and fourth place. Kyle Wagner was runner-up in the event with a 16:15.45.

The Duhawks' 4 x 200 and 4 x 800 relay teams each finished in the top three. The 4 x 800 team outran Beloit in the two-team event to win that title.

Loras' top performance came from Sean Campbell in the Weight Throw. The senior earned a spot on Loras' all-time top ten list with a third place toss of 56'-4".

Loras will be in Mount Vernon, Iowa on Saturday for the 2012 Iowa Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. Cornell College hosts the event this season. The Duhawks will look to improve on last year's fourth place finish.
