The Loras College women's indoor track and field team sent a portion of their roster to the Sol Butler Classic on Saturday and posted a handful of top five finishes.


Among the Duhawks' best efforts was freshman Briauna Richardson's second place finish in the 200 Meter Dash. Richardson posted a 27.61 and was sandwiched between a junior and senior in first and third place.


Another first-year Duhawk was fifth in the 55 Hurdles. Emily Ruhser ran a 9.23 in her first race as a Duhawk to earn Loras some team points.


The field events also produced quite a few points for the Duhawks on Saturday.


Caitlin Groeper and Michelle McWilliams were 4th and 6th in the High Jump. Loras also placed three Duhawks in the top five in the Pole Vault on Saturday. Bridget McQuillan was third at an even 10 feet. Rachel Kolbeck and Emily Roth each went up to 9'-0.25". Sophomore Laura Wondra was third in the Long Jump. Her second jump was her best – 16'-5.25".


Loras will next be in Monmouth, Illinois on Saturday for the Fighting Scots' Invite.
