Loras College selected to host NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championships

NCAA Div. III Men's Soccer Bracket

 

The Loras College men's soccer team was selected on Monday to host a Nov. 11-12 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship regional in the Rock Bowl. The Duhawks earned the Iowa Conference's automatic bid on Saturday with a 1-0 win in Decorah, Iowa over Luther College – who also qualified for the tournament and will host a regional as well.

 

The four teams making up the Loras regional are the Duhawks (16-3-2), who will play the University of Minnesota-Morris (11-4-4, Upper Midwest Conference AQ) – as well as Calvin College (15-5-1, at-large, Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) and Carthage College (14-5-2, College Conference of Illinois/Wisconsin AQ).

The first round games will be played on Friday night in the Rock Bowl. Game times are 5:00 and 7:30 PM central time. Carthage and Calvin will play in the first game at 5:00 PM and Loras will play Minnesota-Morris at approximately 7:30 PM.

The winners of will play on Saturday evening in the Rock Bowl at 6:00 PM.

This is Loras' seventh consecutive appearance in the championships and fifth consecutive season hosting at least one round of the NCAA Division III Championships.
