The Duhawks moved to 13-1-2 with their 4-0 win over Simpson College. Camilo Garces and Chris Comstock helped the Duhawks build an early lead on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Loras men's soccer team moved to 5-0-1 in the Iowa Conference with their shutout win over the Simpson Storm. Camilo Garces scored his first goal of 2011 just 35 seconds into the match on a Kevin Cavers assist and the Duhawks never looked back.

 

Ten minutes later, Chris Comstock took a Louie Oswald assist and doubled the lead for his fourth goal of the year.

 

In the second half, the Duhawks took to the penalty spot twice to close the scoring. Donald St. George scored in his fourth straight game in the 67thminute and Dillon Olson followed suit in the 79thminute.

 

The Duhawks would go on to outshoot the hosts 17-3 on goal over the 90-minute match. Loras goalkeeper Nate DuBois made all three saves to preserve the shutout.

 

The win sets up a showdown on Wednesday night in Decorah, Iowa against Luther College. The Norse are currently 12-2-1 and 5-0 in the IIAC. The Norse have yet to concede a goal in their five IIAC games. Loras is the league's highest scoring team through six games, finding the back of the net 23 times.
