Loras 1st/5

The Loras College women's cross country team took home the Dr. Robert Tucker Invitational title on Friday after placing each of their scoring runners in the top twelve places, including four in the top ten.

Genna Kinley once again reached the finish line first, coming home in fourth place in 23:33.

The trio of Duhawks who stayed together throughout much of the race helped keep the team score of 40 low enough to win the team title over second place Augustana Vikings (43). Mary Rector was the second Duhawk to finish the Dubuque Soccer Complex course in seventh place (23:47). Katie Flogel and Katie Hemesath were forty seconds behind Rector and came to the finish line side by side in eighth and ninth place.

Kellie Wagner was Loras' final scoring runner, finishing 12th, ahead of Augustana's 5, 6, and 7 runners who were close behind in 14th, 15th, and 17thplace.

Loras will next be on the course in Decorah, Iowa when they target the Iowa Conference Championships hosted by Luther College on October 29th.
