A 1-0 road loss in Rock Island was the single blemish on the 2010 Loras College women's soccer record.

In 2011, certainly somewhere in the minds of the 2011 Duhawks (whether it be the front or the back) was that loss and a chance to return the favor and earn their seventh win of the year.

It didn't take long for the Duhawks to take the lead, with Tonya Lohmeyer pulling the trigger in the second minute to land the first punch of the night.

Lohmeyer's 25-yard right-footed strike was a top-shelf effort and her third goal of the season and came from a combination in the middle of the field that granted Danielle Vujovic her first assist of the night.

The Duhawks took the momentum of the opening few minutes and built a 12-4 shot advantage in the first half. Each goalkeeper, Augustana's Kayla Radloff and Loras' Katie Chambers, made three saves in the opening 45 minutes.

The second half was more evenly matched on the shot chart, with the Duhawks holding a 5-4 advantage, but just shy of the hour mark, Loras' Jayne Eslinger made it 2-0.

Eslinger floated an off-balance shot over the top of Radloff after Ali Schmitt moved the ball to the middle of the field and Vujovic connected with Eslinger inside the 18-yard box.

Loras held on for the win and won their fifth straight game as a result and moved their Rock Bowl unbeaten streak to 22 games.

The Duhawks host Augsburg College to close their late September home stand at 5:00 PM on Friday night. They'll turn around and travel to Storm Lake, Iowa on Saturday to resume Iowa Conference play when they take on Buena Vista University.
