Duhawks place fourth at the Loras College Fall Invite

The Loras College men's golf team hosted their annual single-round Fall Invitational on Tuesday at The Meadows Golf Club in Asbury, Iowa and the Duhawks finished fourth among the 12 teams entered.


Sam Herrmann led the Duhawks with his 74 – just one shot off the winning score carded by Garrett Cross of Coe. Herrmann tied Eric Wolfe of the University of Dubuque for second and was placed third based on the tiebreaker.


After Herrmann, four Duhawks shot rounds in the 80s.


Drew Massey tied for 19thwith his 82.


Justin Gonner and Matt Hillard tied for 32ndwith their matching 86s.


James Komorowski shot an 87 and was tied for 38thin the field of 63 golfers.


Loras also sent out a second team to their home course. The Gold team finished 10th.


Aaron Dunn led that team with an 83, followed closely by Colin Rand's 84. Jake Stovie shot a 99 and Doug Zabler a 101.


The Duhawks will next play in the Clarke University Invitational on September 18-19.
