Monmouth Invite RESULTS

The Loras College men's track and field team finished third at this weekend's Monmouth College Invitational in Monmouth, Illinois.

The largest portion of the team points came from third place finishes in the 100, 200, 400, 400 Hurdles, and the Long Jump.

Junior Ryan Seymour sprinted his way to a pair of third place finishes in the 100 and 200 Meter races. He ran an 11.13 in the 100 and a 22.45 in the 200 for his bronze finshes, scoring 12 team points.

Freshman Josh Goerdt added six team points with his 49.53 in the 400 Meter race.

Freshman Luke Kolbeck was also third in his Long Jump event. Kolbeck leapt an impressive 22'-3" in his event and was just two inches behind the second place distance.

Sophomore Jeff Schmidt shined in the 400 Meter Hurdles once again, running a second place time of 56.33, good for eight team points.

The Duhawks now prepare for the Iowa Conference Outdoor Championships, May 13-14 at Cornell College.
