Loras Midweek RESULTS

The Loras College men's track team hosted their annual Midweek meet on April 20 and hosted Clarke University and Luther College. The Duhawks won a total of ten events, including Sean Campbell's wins in two separate field events.

On the track, Tim Derr ran the tenth fastest 110 Meter Hurdles time in program history, defeating the five-runner field in a time of 15.32 seconds. Austin Arthofer won the 100 Meter Dash in 11.49 seconds, Josh Goerdt won the 400 Meter Dash in 50.35 seconds, Dain Leytem won the 1500 in 4:11.07, and Jeff Schmidt win the 400 Hurdles in 58.27 seconds.

The Duhawks found more success in the field events as well. Taylor Heinrichs and his opponent, Charles Deneen of Clarke each went up to 6'-0" in the High Jump. Steve Neukum took the Pole Vault title, matching Blade Westaby's 12'-3.5".

Ryan Piche won the Discus Throw by just under six feet, tossing a 134'-8" in his final attempt of the day.

Sean Campbell reached the top ten on Loras' list in the Hammer Throw, winning that event with a 157'-8", good for seventh on Loras' all-time list. He added the Javelin title to his evening with a 150'-7" effort.

The Duhawks will host their Open on Saturday, April 30 and also send Duhawks to the Drake Relays this weekend.
