The Loras College women's soccer team defeated the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse Wednesday night in dominating fashion, 4-0. The Duhawks were in their gold long-sleeves for the first time this season in the low-50 degree temperatures.

Sophomore Kate Young put things out of reach early with a hat trick in the opening 19 minutes, boosting her overall goals to five, making her the new team leader. Two of Young's assists came from the foot of senior Holly Wilson. Junior Lisa Waltz added the 4th goal with 11:25 left on the clock. Eleven Duhawks are now in the score books with at least one goal and half a season to go.

The LaCrosse Eagles were unable to respond to Young's output, posting 9 shots overall, 3 on goal. Freshman Lindsay Wilde, the leading goal scorer, led with 3 shots. The team's overall record is now 2-6-1, and they are 1-3 in conference play.

The Duhawks will return to the pitch for the first home conference match of the season against the Dutch of Central College this Saturday at 1:00pm.
