The #7 Loras College men's soccer team handled the Augustana Vikings in the Rock Bowl on Wednesday 3-0 in front of a solid midweek crowd. Miguel Bonilla stole the show early, with two first half goals, his sixth and seventh of the relatively young season.

Loras outshot the visiting Vikings 21-7 and controlled the match for much of the 90 minutes. Bonilla netted his goals in the 9th and 19th minutes to give Loras the comfortable lead in the early moments of the game. Santiago Mejia assisted on each of Bonilla's goals. Andy Filipiak took one of Mejia's passes and slipped it through to Bonilla to tally an assist as well. Miguel has a firm grip on third place on Loras' all time points and goals scored list.

Tom Strumpf added his first goal of the year just past the hour mark. The junior headed home a pass from A.J. Josephs to give Loras their final goal of the night.

Junior Dan Wickman earned the 90-minute shutout - his first as a Duhawk. Wickman made two saves on the night. It was the team's fourth shutout of the season and second at home in three tries. Loras is now 6-1-1 in 2209.

Loras will open Iowa Conference play at Buena Vista this Saturday. The Duhawks return home on October 3 to take on Central College.
