Four Duhawks look to make noise in LaCrosse

Four Duhawks are in LaCrosse, Wisconsin for this weekend's NCAA Division III Championships seeking national titles and All-American status. Matt Holmes, Erik Hanson, Stephan Birt, and Jeremy Klein represent the purple and gold beginning at 11:00 am today. Each Duhawk finished third at the IIAC Championships to qualify for the championships.

At 133-pounds, Matt Holmes (So./Lake Villa, Illinois) enters with an overall record of 26-10 and draws #5 seed Adam Sheley (26-3) of host UW-LaCrosse.
 
 
 
 
 
     
At 157-pounds, Erik Hanson (Sr./Lansing, Illinois) is making his third appearance at this tournament. He is 29-4 and draws #4 seed Jesse Harrington of Delaware Valley in his first match.
 
 
 
 
 
   
At 174-pounds, Stephan Birt (Fr./Gibson City, Illinois) debuts against #3 seed Zach Molitor of Augsburg. Birt is 18-11 entering the tournament.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
At heavyweight, Jeremy Klein (Sr./Cooper City, Florida) will look to close his career with a run to the All-American podium against unseeded Tom Foote of Williams College. Klein is 25-15 so far in 2010-11.
