Duhawks place seven in top three at North Central

NCC Quadrangular RESULTS

The Loras College women's indoor track and field team was in Naperville, IL on Friday for the North Central College Quadrangular and came out with strong finishes from a couple seniors. Senior Heidi Tobin won the Weight Throw with a heave of 48 feet and 8 inches. The Duhawks also brought home the top time in the Mile Run thanks to senior Tara Kilburg who finished with a time of 5:17.

Also finishing in the top two on the day was Laura Reiger coming in second in the 800 Meter Run. Third place finishers included Caitlin Groeper in the High Jump, Laura Wondra in the Long Jump, Molly Sieverding in the 200 Meter Dash, Katie Hemesath in the 3000 Meter Run, and the 4x400 meter relay team also recorded the third best time.

The Duhawks finished with a total of 96.5 points, finishing in third place behind North Central College and UW-Whitewater and ahead of Benedictine University.

Loras returns to the indoor track on February 4 to compete in the Warhawk Classic in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
