Duhawk swimmers earn two victories at College of Saint Mary Triangular

The Loras College women's swimming team picked up two victories on Saturday at the College of Saint Mary Triangular. The women defeated College of Saint Mary 72-22 and Morningside College 62-33.

The Duhawks had three swimmers win multiple individual events, led by senior Kenzie Murray bringing home three titles. The Muscatine native won the 200 Yard IM, 100 Yard Freestyle, and 100 Yard Breaststroke. Freshman Evayn Roper won both the 500 and 1000 Yard Freestyle. Marguerite DelVecchio also earned first place in two individual events, winning the 50 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Backstroke. Also finishing first individually on the day was Alex Proctor, taking first in the 100 Yard Butterfly.

In the 400 Yard Medley Relay, the team of DelVecchio, Abbey Tjebkes, Katie Callaghan, and Proctor won the event, finishing over 30 seconds ahead of both College of Saint Mary and Morningside.

The Duhawks return to the pool February 17-19 for the Liberal Arts & IIAC Championships in Cedar Rapids.
