Duhawks drop Rams

The Loras College women's basketball team moved to 7-7 overall and 3-2 in the Iowa Conference with their 62-50 over Cornell. The Duhawks were wire-to-wire leaders, holding a 14-point lead at the peak of their home win.

Alex Hudson led the Duhawks in scoring for the second straight game, reaching 12 points and making two three-pointers. Kelly Rogowski scored 10 points off the bench, followed by Brittney Cato's nine points, Lindsey LaBadie's eight, Melissa Herrmann's seven, and Brittany Kent's six. No Duhawks made more than three field goals on a day when the Duhawks shot 35% from the field.

Defensively, no Rams made more than three field goals either, as the Duhawks held the visitors to 29% shooting. Camille Marie-Lidd scored 10 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Cornell.

The Duhawks scored an impressive 27 points off 27 Cornell turnovers in the win.

Loras heads to Waverly on Wednesday night to play Wartburg at 6:00 PM. The Knights are off to a 13-0 start, including 4-0 in the Iowa Conference.
