The Loras College men's basketball team dropped their Sunday afternoon tilt with the University of Chicago Maroons, 77-56.

Dan Pawelski led the Duhawks with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting and pulled down eight rebounds while also going 5-for-5 from the free throw line. Two other Duhawks reached double figures - point guard Connor Mooney had 11 points and six assists (with no turnovers) and two steals. Tim Kelly had 10 points on 5-of-12 shooting.

Loras added 13 second chance points on ten offensive rebounds and were +12 on points in the paint.

The Duhawks found themselves in an uphill battle through most of the night as the Maroons shot 50% from the field and made 11-of-24 three point field goals - six in the first half and five in the second. Leading the way for the Maroons was Tom Williams, who went 9-for-9 from the floor and made all six of his three pointers.

The Duhawks return to the AWC tonight to take on the North Park University Vikings at 7:00 PM.
