Wesleyan wins in Bloomington

The Loras College women's basketball team dropped their sixth game of 2010-11 on Saturday afternoon with a 78-60 loss to Illinois Wesleyan.

Lindsey LaBadie made four field goals and four free throws on her way to a team 13 points. Alex Hudson added eight points and Katie Langmeier scored seven for the Duhawks.

The #11 Titans led wire-to-wire on their home floor, were +12 in rebounding, and the Duhawks turned the ball over 33 times on the day. Four Titans scored in double figures.

The Duhawks forced the Titans into 31 turnovers, but Wesleyan scored 38 points off the Loras turnovers to the Duhawks' 25 points on 31 hiccups. Katie Sharp had three steals and Kelsey James had a team high six rebounds off the bench. Loras' bench scored 41 points to Illinois Wesleyan's 25.

Loras shot 35% from the field to the Titans' 44%. The Duhawks trailed by 16 at halftime, but played within two points over the final 20 minutes, 35-33.

There are two more home games on the December 2010 calendar. Loras will host North Park at 7:00 PM on December 29 and Beloit at 1:00 PM on New Year's Eve.
