NSCAA hands out post season awards

The highest scoring Duhawk men's soccer player in program history capped his career with a second All-American nod in as many years. Miguel Bonilla is a two-time All-American this year, after posting 27-point senior season that included 12 goals and seven assists in 2010.

Bonilla, a co-captain, leaves the program as the all-time leader in points (133-only Duhawk over the 100 point mark) and goals (55). He is also third on the assist list with 23. Loras participated in the NCAA Division III Championships Tournament in each of Bonilla's four seasons - including Final Four appearances in 2007 and 2008. Loras went 10-3-2 in the NCAA Tournament over the last four seasons. Bonilla was a four-time first team All-IIAC pick and the 2008 IIAC MVP. Loras was 16-7-1 in 2010. Bonilla is the third All-American in Loras' history. Santiago Mejia was a three-time selection (2007-09) in his career and Matt Brumfield (2007).

This season Bonilla is a third team pick All-America pick. He was a first team All-North Region selection this year as well.

Joining Bonilla on the All-North Region team this year were three defensive players. Second team award winners were defenders Tom Jennings (senior) and Malcolm Calbert (junior) - and senior goalkeeper Dan Wickman was a third team pick. Loras' goals against average was 0.73 this year.
