Loras knocked out of tournament by Oshkosh

Back on October 14, the Duhawks started a winning streak with a 5-0 drubbing of the Cornell Rams in Mount Vernon. Loras went on to win nine straight games entering the NCAA Division III Championships. On November 19 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the Titans ended Loras' season with a 2-0 win over the road Duhawks in the "Sweet 16".

Oshkosh held a +2 advantage in shots (13-11) after the 90 minutes and converted their two goals in the first half.

Nine minutes into the match the Titans struck on a quickly built attack that ended with Devon Prideaux driving the ball past a rushing Dan Wickman to open the scoring. Tim Stadler headed home a corner kick in the 24th minute to finish the scoring less than a half hour into the game.

Loras forced the difficult-to-crack Titans defense to handle five shots on goal on a chilly night in Wisconsin, but the home team posted their 17th shutout of the season to advance to the quarterfinals.

Loras says goodbye to one of the most successful senior classes in program history in doing so. Dan Wickman, Matt Lamale, Tom Strumpf, Justin McCord, Tom Jennings, Miguel Bonilla, Zach Bruns, Robert Murphy, and Donald St. George competed for the final time in the purple and gold.

After Final Four appearances in 2007 and 2008, the Duhawks advanced to the Sweet 16 in both 2009 and 2010.
