Duhawk finish in tenth place at NCAA Central Regional

Loras 10th of 27 at NCAA Central Region Meet

The Loras College women's cross country team took home a tenth place finish at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Regional in Waverly, Iowa on Saturday. The Duhawks placed four runners in the top 75 of the 186-runner meet.

Katie Hemesath once again paced the Duhawks, this time with her lifetime P.R. of 22:55. Hemesath's time was good for 20th place. Seniors Tara Kilburg (23:56) and Meghan Wolett (24:38) finished second and fifth in the Loras lineup in their final race as Duhawks.

Between Kilburg and Wolett were junior Genna Kinley (24:03/64th) and freshmen Mary Rector (24:11/72nd). Kelsey Kruse was sixth in the Duhawk order in 25:02 and Maria Kalb finished in 25:27.
Hemesath's spot in the top 35 places also earned her a spot on the All-Central Region team.
