The Loras College women's soccer team improved to 10-1 on Tuesday night with a 1-0 road win over the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

The Duhawks scored in the 11th minute when Jayne Eslinger's pass sent Kate Young on a breakaway. The junior forward from Roscoe, Illinois took care of the rest, netting her fifth goal of the season.

A total of 16 more shots were directed at the Pioneers goal, but Kaitlyn Weideman made saves on five of those Loras attempts to keep the game at 1-0 for the remaining 79 minutes. The Pioneers offense produced a total of five shots, including four on goal over the 90 minutes of action.

Rachael Stieber made saves on each of those four shots, including two in the game's final 17 minutes to earn the shutout in her second career start as a Duhawk.

The Duhawks outshot the Pioneers 18-5 in all in a smooth flowing game that included just 15 whistles for fouls or offside.

Loras will travel to Waverly, Iowa to take on Wartburg College (7-3-1, 3-0) on Friday evening. Kickoff is set for 5:00 PM.
